The 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬 (𝐂𝐅𝐎) registers Filipino participants in the U.S. Exchange Visitor Program (EVP), an international educational and cultural exchange program that aims to promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries.
Over the past decade, the CFO has registered more than 𝟓𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐄𝐕𝐏 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬, 69% of whom are female. Of this total, 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎,𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲, while nearly one-fourth participated as interns. These are followed by almost 9,500 teachers and around 6,000 trainees.
