Between 2014 and 2023, the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬 (𝐂𝐅𝐎) registered more than 50,000 Filipino participants in the U.S. Exchange Visitor Program (EVP).
𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚, with more than 11,000 Filipino participants (21.44%). It was followed by 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞, each contributing a little over 5%. The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) participated via Zoom as one of the speakers during the Post-Arrival Orientation and Financial Literacy Seminar for Filipino teachers deployed to the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) in 2024 and 2025, held on 05 September 2025 at the National Louis University in Chicago.
The event, organized by the Philippine Consul General in Chicago, aimed to guide newly deployed J-1 teachers on adjustment and financial management.
